Market Place at 1365 Main St is the 1858 Republican Block, home of The Springfield Republican newspaper until 1867 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A central atrium connects Main Street to the Market Street walkway.
Between 2005 and 2007, Glenn Edwards assembled the east side of Main Street in downtown Springfield between Harrison Place and Court Street. Chart repositioned the retail corridor along Main Street and revived the formerly vacant Market Street walkway behind the buildings, and in 2016 proposed market rate loft apartments tied to the MGM Springfield housing commitment. The portfolio was sold in 2021.
