Chart was the maiden name of Glenn's mother, Norma Chart Edwards. She was an only child, so the company carries her family name forward.

Chart Organization is an investor in the ownership group of six Southwest Florida golf courses: Arrowhead Golf Club (Naples), Rosedale Golf and Country Club (Bradenton), Calusa Lakes Golf Club (Nokomis), Capri Isles Golf Club (Venice), Waterford Golf Club (Venice) and Misty Creek Country Club (Sarasota).
